The town's Angel and godly figure. Mary is put on a pedestal by those around her. She's beloved by all and she could do no wrong. They all say she's perfect, but Mary doesn't feel that way. She actually hates all this praise which is why she does things against her father's wishes. Basically living two lives, Mary switches between two images of herself constantly. In doing this, she is beginning to forget just who she wanted to be as she grew up. The only person that seems to remember her before all of this is Leo. They used to be extremely close, and very good friends, until with age, they grew apart. Now Mary walks past him or pretends she doesn't know him, continuing to run back to the two versions of herself she hates.
